São Paulo Aeroportos

Brief

O Departamento Aeroviário do Estado de São Paulo (DAESP), vinculado à Secretaria Estadual de Transportes de São Paulo, tem mais de 40 anos de história e operação em todos os 39 aeroportos públicos do estado.

The São Paulo State Airway Department (DAESP), an organization which is linked to São Paulo’s State Secretariat of Transportation, has more than 40 years of history and operation in all of the 39 São Paulo’s public State Airports.

01/ Escopo

Na D4G, fomos responsáveis pelo redesign da marca e reposicionamento da organização, bem como por um projeto de sinalização para todos os aeroportos.
At D4G, we were responsible for brand design and repositioning of the organization as well as a wayfinding project for all Airports.

02/ Minha Contribuição

Nos dividimos em duas equipes, Branding e Sinalização. Fazíamos o processo de brainstorming juntos e participamos ativamente em projetos uns dos outros para feedback. Eu fui a designer responsável pelo projeto Sinalização. De pesquisas a execução de design, ao projeto gráfico do manual de sinalização e testes locais.
We were divided in two teams, Branding and Wayfinding. We would brainstorm together and participate actively in each other’s projects for feedback. I was the main designer in charge of the wayfinding project. From wayfinding researches to design execution, technical manual book design and local testings.

03/ O Racional

São Paulo’s State Airports are rather small sized. Therefore, DAESP wanted a signage project that would be default for all of them. This was one of our main challenges because even though the airports weren’t big, they tended to have it’s own characteristics. We studied all the airports blueprints and designed one signage and information systems visual identity that would apply to all airports, and then positioned them accordingly to the airport’s navigation flow.
Futebol Social is not about athletic excellence, rather, is about social impact, providing unique life experiences to young people who have in sport the chance to know other realities and live moments of leisure and entertainment – powerful tools in the fight against poverty and everyday violence.
Therefore, I wanted the design to resemble a documentary project, with rough typography and textures portraying reality: young people, teamwork, togetherness and hustle so we could reach Futebol Social’s soul and also inspire sponsors to act.
